I love that series, anxiously awaiting A Dance with Dragons. I heard about this as an HBO production a couple of months ago. Me too... might have to either dip into the coffers for this, or have a night of it at someone's house
Oh, I certainly prefer fantasy to superhero, I just can't bring myself to see the Thrones stuff (or whatever it's called) as fantasy.
Fiction, certainly, but only marginally more 'fantasy' than The Tudors meets the Sopranos. :/
I know I'm in the wildly small minority there, though, so I'm still glad that any fantasy series is getting made into a television show. Maybe if they do well enough it'll continue to open up the possibilities for others to get the treatment.
And who knows, maybe I'll enjoy the show despite my distaste for the books. It might work better for me as a visual presentation than a literary one. I'll certainly give it a try. :)

I think this is going to be like The Tudors meets the Soporanos and I'm stoked!!
